Itomachi Hotel is a hotel that aims for virtually zero electricity consumption by obtaining the highest rank of “ZEB (Net Zero Energy Building)" set by the Japanese Ministry of the Environment, and simultaneously having the functions of consuming and creating energy in the building.

“Itomachi,” where ITOMACHI HOTEL  is being constructed, is a concept city that focuses on the keywords of “energy,” “technology,” “green infrastructure,” “food,” and “architecture.” The design of the hotel was led by architect Kengo Kuma, who has designed numerous world-renowned buildings, including the new Japanese National Stadium. The hotel has a total of 57 guest rooms, a cafe, a multipurpose studio, a kitchen-equipped co-working space, and a laundry.

The hotel selected Tarkett Material iQ Eminent With Bio based materials, to be installed on top of the desk furniture of the hotel bedrooms. iQ Eminent Rosin in a green vinyl material, made with bio attributed PVC, that enable to save 40% of greenhouse gas emission on the production stage and 73% on the full life cycle compared to standard homogeneous Vinyl floor. Indeed, this material enable to accelerate the switch from fossil feedstock to bio-based materials - actively reducing carbon emissions. It is also a very design material with fresh, soft, contemporary patterns and colours.
