The Ronald McDonald House in Tilburg offers parents of sick children a welcoming and warm environment, where they can stay close by, day or night. For the renovation project of this nonprofit establishment, Tarkett‘s iD Inspiration 70 and DESSO Rugs were chosen.

The Ronald McDonald house in Midwest Brabant is located in the Elisabeth-TweeSteden Hospital, in Tilburg. This is a welcoming and warm environment for relatives of admitted children to unwind and find support from other family members and volunteers, during a time when normal family life has been disrupted by a child's illness or accident.

During the day, they can spend time in the living room where they can get away from the hospital bed and uninviting waiting areas. They have access to a large number of facilities so that their stay can be made that much easier and as pleasant as possible. At night, they can stay close by in one of the various family rooms. The house exists thanks to the help of several private sponsors and is run on the continued efforts of countless volunteers.

The concept of The Ronald McDonald house was created by Heal Design, an interior design firm in Tilburg, whose goal was to focus mainly on the visitor's experience. Shirley Dap, the Creative Founder of Heal Design says that, “Providing a personal touch to each space, was an important starting point for the project, since it corresponds perfectly with the concept of the house.”

Heal Design chose Tarkett’s iD Inspiration 70 luxury vinyl tiles and DESSO Rugs, because both floor coverings are sustainable and are produced from recycled materials.
