Our DESSO Human Fascination II collection is the latest addition to the DESSO Carpetecture® Family and an ode to the ingenuity, vulnerability and wild beauty of nature and the importance of protecting the earth’s resources, a cause Tarkett is actively committed to.
We want to know our landscapes, become one with them. Not just what’s on the surface, but everything underneath. Look closely, zoom in on the materials, examine our resources. Each is a world on its own, a microcosm that holds everything together.
We believe in circularity, in using no more than we need, and giving back what we take. Inspiration can be found in the gentle process of rebirth and renewal. Just like flowers bloom each spring, and rain drops cycle from mountains to rivers, oceans and clouds and mountains again, our carpet tiles revive time after time.
Our Futurity carpet flooring puts the raw materials and organic shapes of nature on a pedestal. Accidental designs through recycling meet soft textures with a handcrafted feel. Inspired by nature’s gentle processes of rebirth and renewal, DESSO carpet tiles are created to be revived time after time.
As part of Tarkett’s Cradle to Cradle® commitment, DESSO Futurity is Cradle to Cradle® Silver Level certified. The Human Fascination range includes Tarkett’s 100% recyclable EcoBase backing, containing an average of 80% upcycled chalk from the local drinking water industry. In addition, this range is made with ECONYL®, a 100% regenerated nylon yarn made from recovered waste materials such as discarded fishing nets and yarn fluff from our own carpet recycling centre.

DESSO Futurity
Recycle, renew, relove: the DESSO Futurity carpet tile collection is an ode to our beautiful earth and its precious resources, and an invitation to let the raw materials speak for themselves. Patterns are random, designs accidental, created by the new natural process of recycling.
An irregular textured aesthetic – raw and untamed – allows for true statement flooring. Its colour palette of four shades – comprising two lighter bases with darker pattern, and two darker bases with lighter pattern, reflects the raw, unpolished and unpredictable characteristics of this novel kind of nature. A rough texture perfectly suited to an urban setting, outspoken and loud to make a statement.
