C2C LAB Berlin

The Cradle to Cradle (C2C) certification aims to encourage a circular economy in which environmentally friendly and recyclable materials are at the center of all production processes. The recently opened C2C Lab in Berlin is the first comprehensive inventory refurbishment according to C2C criteria that promotes new standards for healthy and recyclable renovation with a positive footprint.   

Whether it be the windows, furniture, lighting, floors, walls or ceilings, all the materials and equipment at the C2C Lab meet all the strict certification requirements. "It goes without saying that the floor coverings at the C2C Lab meet the high standards of C2C certification," explains Wolter Student, Director of Events & Community at the C2C Lab. He continues to explain why the C2C Lab chose Tarkett floors. "We recognize Tarkett as one of the leading floor covering manufacturers, committed to establishing a circular economy".  

Tarkett’s first C2C Gold certified elastic floor covering, iD Revolution, was used for the first time in the C2C Lab. Tarkett also offered excellent, pollutant-free, C2C Silver certified and recyclable floor coverings to the center. For example, in the spacious showroom, where events such as panel discussions, workshops and seminars take place, the 3-strip parquet Oak Heritage was placed. Other Tarkett floor coverings, like the DESSO carpet tiles AirMaster, Fields, Fuse Create and Jeans Original, were provided in attractive colors and installed in the work areas and other multifunctional rooms.
